i’m sitting in my room right now. with the window open. and listening to the police concert from fenway. and it’s almost crystal clear. it’s amazing. i love it. it’s like i’m at the show, minus the visuals. this is so great.

monday is the day of monday night street hockey, or mnh. mnh is pretty much the highlight of my summer and i love it. my friends from high school and i meet at this old basketball court in the town next to mine and play street hockey. the court is fenced in with like 10 foot chain link that almost definitely will give you tetanus. the posts for the hoops are two straight posts, not one, so we use them as the goals. every week we need to sweep the broken glass and sand off of the court, and rearrange the old pieces of bleachers that we use as back stops so the ball won’t slip out under the fence. but i love it. it’s so much fun.
this year my friend mugsy and i decided to make shirts / uniforms. so mugsy got a bucnh of shirts from some shirt company.
and he made some nice looking graphics on his sexy macs.
and i ironed them onto the shirts with transfer paper.
mugsy tweaked the nhl logo into an mnh logo.
they came out pretty good, i think.
we all picked hockey names and numbers. that’s mine.
so on monday, i wore my mnh shirt even though i couldn’t be there. then i watched some really weird movie about a bunch of black kids roller skating. i think there comes a point when “it was the 70’s” just isn’t an excuse anymore.

my soils lab was due on monday. so i started it sunday night at about midnight. could have been 11.30. could have been 12.30. i don’t remember. the important thing to know is i started the lab on, or almost on, the same day that it was due. i stayed up until 6 am monday working on it.
this is what it looked like out my window when i went to bed very very very late sunday night.
i slept until 9 at which point i woke up and worked on it some more. so i went into monday with a riveting 3 hours of sleep. the weird thing is, i wasn’t exceptionally tired on monday. but i was a mess on tuesday when it all caught up with me.
