fred thompson will announce his bid for the presidency september 6th. i don’t like fred thompson. and it isn’t only because he looks like richard nixon’s bastard step child.

fred thompson is wicked ugly

it’s mostly because:

This candidate was contacted repeatedly over several weeks by Project Vote Smart staff members and by prominent political leaders, and asked to do the right and honorable thing by providing citizens with the critical information that the National Political Awareness test supplies. On each occasion this candidate failed to provide voters with this information.”
- Project Vote Smart, 04 September 2007

what a douche. OnTheIssues went through his voting records and speeches and pieced together what he supports and doesn’t. and i still don’t like him.

he seems to be confused about his stance on abortion.
in 1991 he consulted for pro-abortion group, as part of law firm. (Jul 2007), but also thinks Roe v. Wade was bad law and bad science. (Jun 2007)

he hates earth.

he likes making money off of his position in the senate.

Voted NO on banning more types of Congressional gifts. (Jul 1995)

he thinks we should all have guns.

he doesn’t view himself as potentially getting much better approval ratings than bush.
“I would do essentially what the president’s doing in Iraq.” (Jun 2007)

he sees things in black and white, kinda.
“Iraq is a war between civilization and evil.” (Jun 2007)
or, in this horrible, horrible analogy, black and oranges.

that was a lot of factual info, so let’s review.

abortion is bad, unless you can make money off of it. gays don’t have feelings because they aren’t actually human. condoms aren’t acceptable, but there isn’t a problem with spending the equivalent of the gdp of some countries on talking teens into repressing nature. destroying earth is ok because bad guys are after us. those heat waves aren’t because of suvs, it’s the sun’s fault. congressmen deserve presents often. guns are fun to play with, and we shouldn’t waste our time checking who owns them. if you’re poor and sick, it’s your own fucking problem. also, please smoke more cigarettes, it’s good for the economy. the army is cool! yay, buy big weapons and explode things! chemical weapons make people look funny, haha! not our problem if workers are debilitated by repetitive motion. iraq is going well. also, the people who live there are evil, but it’s ok, because we are civilized enough to start a war in their country and kill them all for their own good.

good luck, asshole.
