this is a text i got out of the blue one day:
hey no big deal but if you happen to find an inhaler please let me know. in the mean time, i’ll be passed out on my steering wheel with the horn blaring. no rush, enjoy your weekend if i don’t hear from you.
had no idea who it was from. turns out it was one of my coworkers. man was that funny.
normal turkey and cheese sandwich + roast beef – pickles = fail
before i had an ipod, i never thought that i would need one. i thought that i would be perfectly content to put two or three albums on my 256 mb mp3 player and swap out the music every other day or so. what do i need thousands of songs in my pocket for when i can only listen to a limited amount of them a day?
then i got an ipod. and boy was i wrong. there is nothing better than to have a song in your head and having the power to listen to that song immediately, no matter where you are. it makes me so happy. this morning i woke up with a song in my head. when i got in the car, i hooked up the ipod to the stereo, threw on the song and rocked out. fuckin’ awesome. then when i got to work i was reminded of another song and wanted to listen to that one and could.
damn are we spoiled. i would be no worse off if i thought of a song, wanted to listen to it, couldn’t, made a mental note to listen to it when i got home, forgot, and didn’t. i would have forgotten about it. i know i don’t need instant gratification, but damn do i like it.
the last two weeks i’ve spent half of my time working on a mock drawing for work. it’s going to be used as the base of every drawing that my office makes so every drawing looks uniform and pretty. so this has been going on for a while and is a ton of work but will be worth it in the long run. but the good news is i just submitted it for final review so i’m almost done with it. which is awesome for me and also for the company because my last day of work is friday so this kind of has to be done before i leave.
today i decided to be fancy and dress up for work. i am giving a presentation at work and then have a meeting for asce at school tonight so i wore a tie. i know, i know, that’s really dressing up. but it is for me. anyway, on this day that i decided to be fancy and wear a tie, i forgot to shave. i’m such a douche.
